Hirschfeld Awarded San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC)

The joint venture team of Clark Construction Group and Hunt Construction Group awarded Hirschfeld the Consolidated Tower Structural Package for San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

The 1.1-million-square-foot project, including renovations to the existing Brooke Army Medical Center, will create the military’s flagship medical facility in the southern United States. When final design is complete, Hirschfeld’s scope is expected to include 9,000 tons of structural steel.

This award comes 18 years after completion of the Brooke Army Medical Center Hospital Replacement by Hirschfeld for the joint venture team of Clark Construction Group and Manhattan Construction Company.
