Automated People Mover
Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, Texas
The Skylink Automated People Mover at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, Texas, is a five-mile-long, dual-track, bidirectional system completed in 2004. The structure is a continuous loop that extends along the airside face of four terminals and through the interior space of the new Terminal D. Construction was equivalent to building a five-mile bridge structure while having aircraft operate and function underneath. Hirschfeld supplied 2,500 tons of tub girders for this fast-track project.
